We are the second largest manufacturer of convolute- and spiral- wound tubes and cores in the United States. Caraustar's Konva-Kore® is the most widely used core in the carpet industry. Caraustar is a major supplier of tubes and cores to other industries including - pulp and paper, textile, synthetic fiber, carpet and floor coverings, tape and label, and plastic film and flexible packaging. StarTech is Caraustar's product line of film cores used by sophisticated and thin gauge film manufacturers. Caraustar produces mailing tubes in numerous diameters and lengths and storage tubes for inventorying an assortment of items.
Caraustar also produces spiral-wound composite containers, injection molded plastic containers, and a variety of tinplate and aluminum end closures for consumer and industrial uses. Caraustar manufactures and is the first US producer of a ring-pull aluminum membrane end for composite and metal cans. Composite containers are used to package adhesives and sealants, lubricating grease, portion control food service items, retail packaging and a variety of related products. Hard-to-hold urethane products enjoy extended shelf life in the Company's K-SEAL® cartridge, and increased copy space and improved graphics Protect-A-Wrap and Protect-A-Board are Caraustar products that are manufactured to protect palletized freight from damage associated with shipping and handling.
